First Star Technology worked with the World leading brand (OBO) in field hockey goalkeeping equipment company, developing and establishing specialised supply chains and manufacture for a world first youth helmet.
The OBO brand provides head and body protection for field hockey players that works, their products are sold in over 30 countries around the world with over 90% of Olympic teams and players using their products.

First Star Involvement

First Star provided support for the manufacturing establishment of the OBO’s ABS Helmet and assisted in the process of developing production tools, quality control specification and facilitated CE approval ready for Client handover.  First Star's strong network within China ensures the most suitable manufacturing factories and suppliers are selected to assist production.

As part of the Idea group, First Star worked closely with the team of design engineers at Idea-NZ and OBO, where Idea-NZ design engineers were deployed to First Star’s factory to support the manufacturing and establish quality standards and procedures.
