Proline Systems

The success of the Proline GatorClip system came from First Star Technology’s focused effort working with Proline to establish a manufacturing supply chain to produce a high-performance, low-cost product.
Proline systems is a horticultural solutions company with head office in New Zealand, with well-established global markets. The GatorClip is a clip that holds reflective textile securely between the orchards rows without tearing.

First Star Involvement

First Star provided the full manufacturing service from in-put on performance materials to the design team, to build of prototype and mass production tools, through to development of test criteria and setting quality procedures for manufacturing.
Ongoing mass production orders and assembly of the Gator at First Star can peak as high as 10,000pc per day.

As part of the Idea group, First Star worked closely with the team of design engineers at Idea-NZ, Proline and Proline’s appointed Chinese textile company for export. Idea-NZ design engineers were deployed to First Star’s factory to support the manufacturing and establish quality standards and procedures.
