Our Story

First Star Technology is a Chinese Mainland registered company established in 2009 by Winston Wu (小慧). Winston’s 25+ years of experience in quality assurance, sales and manufacturing started in quality control working for Esprit Clothing, later moving to sales with a Taiwanese Kitchen Appliance manufacture, and then into Hardware manufacturing.
Winston is fluent in English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese, and Japanese having lived and worked outside of Mainland China in Saipan Island (USA) and Japan.
First Star has built an international, diverse industry client base producing component and products ranging from Electronics, Jewellery, Automotive, Construction, to Environmental and Horticulture for brands and companies such as Foxconn and BMW to name a few.

Our sustainable manufacturing and production assembly facility is approved by the Habitat Environment Commission of Shenzhen city, operating from the 2nd and 3rd level of First Star’s multi-level factory, just 1 hour drive from the Hong Kong border.

Idea Group

First Star Technology joined the Idea group in 2010, partnering with Idea Developments Ltd, a New Zealand registered product design and development company, securing manufacturing contracts and forming Idea-China.
This partnership provides direct access to Idea-NZ’s team of Industry Designers and Product Engineers, expanding First Star’s knowledge base into new and innovative products, specialised materials and manufacturing methods.
Idea-NZ’s Design engineers are often deployed to First Star’s (Idea-China) office, working on Idea Group projects providing quality specification guidance and design/engineering services to enhance First Star’s manufacturing operation.
